Brand name or company name / logo are proper visual identity of a company which should be designed using proper graphic design software and to be printed in high quality papers. Use of color must be very prominence and in right combination. The background color and the color used for logo or fonts should not be contrasted. If dark color used for logo or fonts, then use light dimmed colors for background. If you are dealing machinery or any industrial products print the machinery on the business card with good visible color. Ensure you are not changing the originality of the image if you are not a manufacture but a dealer, selling some other company’s products.

Using proper fonts is also important factor in business card design. Avoid using too much font type for one business card. Up to two font types is ok.  And the font must be easily readable. Using so stylish fonts will be difficult while reading when it is printed on small size. Be careful for using these types of fonts for contact information. Some font gives same impression for the numbers six and eight. This is for example. Many characters give similar impression in some fonts. So choosing a simple font is good decision in business card design.

Your business card must be informative. At the same time do not put too many texts in a small business card and use a good color that differentiates the font from the background color. Otherwise the readability will be difficult and the main purpose of a business card is vanished.

Use reverse side of the card. Nowadays folded business cards are also more popular. Your business card design may be designed for these types of cards or to use back side of the simple card by providing simple information about any branches you have and it’s locations & how to drive to that locations etc.
